Welcome to Productivity Power Up! I am SO excited to be here and I hope you will be too! Allow me to give you a brief background of who I am and what you can expect from me and from this site.
Who am I?
I’ve been in corporate America nearly 17 years. I am currently a Project Office Manager for a large mutual fund company. During the past five years of my career I’ve had the opportunity to coach and mentor my co-workers on various aspects of productivity.
My life changed five years ago when I read the book Getting Things Done by David Allen. In fact, I often tell people during productivity presentations that it was a game-changer for me.
Before reading Getting Things Done, I responded to life very reactively. Most people do. My day-to-day actions were driven by whatever came flying at me. I had no map, no strategic plan for navigating through life.
The concepts I learned in David Allen’s book allowed me to become the pilot of my ship. Hobbies I had put on the back burner for years began to find life. I started to read again and magically time opened up for my music, the gym, and countless other projects I had set aside until I could “find the time”.
As I took control of my life, I became fascinated with productivity and began studying the habits of successful people. I got more and more excited about what I was discovering and finally came to a point where I needed to share what I had learned. That’s when I started to coach, mentor, and present within the realm of my corporate job.
My reward came from seeing light bulbs going off in people’s heads as they realized that there was a way to gain control of their lives through positive productivity habits.
What You Can Expect From Me
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from teaching others about productivity, it’s that a person’s way of getting things done is as unique as his or her fingerprints. The techniques that work for me may not appeal to you at all. Because of this, I’ll be sharing a variety of resources and concepts. This will allow you to experiment with different techniques and ultimately figure out what works best for you.

I would love to hear from you and what you hope to see on this site!
